10TH ANNUAL IFA/ORISA FESTIVAL & APF 2ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY/AWARD

The Ancestral Pride Family Annual Ifa/Festival is around the corner.

The Event which is in merge with the Ancestral Pride Foundation’s Anniversary/Award Presentation is starting on the 18th of November, 2019 and ends on 24th November, 2019.

The THEME for this years Anniversary which goes thus: RESTORATION OF MORAL VALUES IN OUR YOUTHS THROUGH YORUBA TRADITIONAL RELIGION AND CULTURE.

The Family of Fasola and Fagbemi invites the Public to express joy with them on the day of the Event and also to make the event a memorable one.

The Native attire to be use on the Party day is displayed below: The cost for 6yards is N3,500 and for 4yards is N2,500.

Afternoon (1pm): Visitation to Ijamido Orphanage Home for Oluwo Fasola Faniyi’s Birthday

YORÙBÁ QUIZ COMPETITION 2019 {FIRST EDITION}

The Ancestral Pride Foundation (APF) successfully organized the First Edition of the Yorùbá Quiz Competition for Secondary Schools in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State on Wednesday, 26th June, 2019.

This competition comprises of 47 secondary school in which just 19 were present with two representatives each.

At this event, the founder of Ancestral Pride Foundation, Oluwo (Dr) Fasola Faniyi urged all Nigerians to promote African cultural values in all ways.

Yorubas have been cautioned to extirpate the habit of seeing Yoruba language as vernacular both in school and at home.

High Chiefs and Kings were present at the event:

  • HRM Oba (Prof.) Abdul-Kabir Adeyemi Obalanlege (Oba Olota of Ota)

  • HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Akanni Ogungbayi (Onitekun of Owode, Ota)

  • HRH Oba AbdulAkeem Odunaro (Onikotun of Otun, Ota)

  • HRH Oba Clement Akinyemi (Ajana of Ijana)

  • and several others

In an interview with the Onitetiku of Owode, Ota, HRM Oba Wasiu Ogungbayi emphasized that parents should allow their children practice their cultural heritage which he described as beautiful and interesting. Onitetiku reminded them of the olden days when their parents gave them a cultural upbringing which improved their ability to interact respectfully among people.

“Parents should allow their children speak their dialect, greet in the cultural way, eat local foods and dress culturally. It was not like that during our days, we were allowed to practice our culture then, which gave most of us manner and sense of responsibility compare to the modern day youth.”
