ANCESTRAL PRIDE TEMPLE CELEBRATE IT 12TH IFA/ORISA FESTIVAL | 4TH ANNIVERSARY OF APF 2021

REPORT FROM THE ANNUAL IFA/ORISA FESTIVAL AND THE 4th YEAR ANNIVERSARY/AWARD PRESENTATION OF ANCESTRAL PRIDE FOUNDATION

It is another year of the Ancestral Pride Family Annual Ifa/Orisa Festival in conjunction with the Ancestral Pride Foundation (APF) Anniversary/Award Presentation.

The Ancestral Pride Annual Ifa/Orisa Festival which always last for seven days kick-started on Monday 22nd November, 2021.

The Program which were followed according to the program of event below:

The First day (22nd November, 2021) Àràbà and his Foundation Members (Ancestral Pride Foundation) visited Ijamido Orphanage Home to present them gifts including food and money and also give word of Advice and showing them love and how important they are to the society.

On Tuesday, the 23rd day of November, 2021, a Press Conference was held at the Araba’s Palace as usual at around 10am.

The Grand Finale & Thanksgiving Party which is also the Celebration of The Ancestral Pride Foundation’s Anniversary/Award Party took place on the 28th of November, 2021 at Ijamido Town Hall, Ota, Ogun State where Oluwo (Dr) Fayemi Fatunde Fakayode (PhD.) (Founder, Ijo Imole Olodumare Agbaye) gave the Lecture themed: “The Misunderstanding of concepts in Yorùbá Traditional Religion“.

Oluwo (Dr) Fayemi Fatunde Fakayode [PhD.] (Founder, Ijo Imole Olodumare Agbaye) discussed more on how Èsù was misinterpreted by Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther when translating the Bible to Yoruba.
Èsù is a one Olodumare messenger and should not be compared to Satan of the Bible or Quran whom is otherwise God’s Antagonist
.

The Ancestral Pride Family Annual Ifa/Festival is around the corner.

The Event which is in merge with the Ancestral Pride Foundation’s Anniversary/Award Presentation is starting on the 18th of November, 2019 and ends on 24th November, 2019.

The THEME for this years Anniversary which goes thus: RESTORATION OF MORAL VALUES IN OUR YOUTHS THROUGH YORUBA TRADITIONAL RELIGION AND CULTURE.

The Family of Fasola and Fagbemi invites the Public to express joy with them on the day of the Event and also to make the event a memorable one.

The Native attire to be use on the Party day is displayed below: The cost for 6yards is N3,500 and for 4yards is N2,500.

YORÙBÁ QUIZ COMPETITION 2019 {FIRST EDITION}

The Ancestral Pride Foundation (APF) successfully organized the First Edition of the Yorùbá Quiz Competition for Secondary Schools in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State on Wednesday, 26th June, 2019.

This competition comprises of 47 secondary school in which just 19 were present with two representatives each.

At this event, the founder of Ancestral Pride Foundation, Oluwo (Dr) Fasola Faniyi urged all Nigerians to promote African cultural values in all ways.

Yorubas have been cautioned to extirpate the habit of seeing Yoruba language as vernacular both in school and at home.

High Chiefs and Kings were present at the event:

  • HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Akanni Ogungbayi (Onitekun of Owode, Ota)

In an interview with the Onitetiku of Owode, Ota, HRM Oba Wasiu Ogungbayi emphasized that parents should allow their children practice their cultural heritage which he described as beautiful and interesting. Onitetiku reminded them of the olden days when their parents gave them a cultural upbringing which improved their ability to interact respectfully among people.

“Parents should allow their children speak their dialect, greet in the cultural way, eat local foods and dress culturally. It was not like that during our days, we were allowed to practice our culture then, which gave most of us manner and sense of responsibility compare to the modern day youth.”

2018 ANNUAL IFA/ORISA FESTIVAL | 1st ANNIVERSARY OF APF

REPORT FROM THE ANNUAL IFA/ORISA FESTIVAL AND THE 1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY/AWARD PRESENTATION OF ANCESTRAL PRIDE FOUNDATION

After the Coronation of Oluwo Dr. Fasola Faniyi Babatunde as the AWISE of Owode-Ota, Awori Land on 17th November, 2018. The Annual Ifa/Orisa Festival which always last for seven days kick-started on 19th November which happens to be Oluwo Dr. Fasola Faniyi’s Birthday where Oluwo and his Foundation Members (Ancestral Pride Foundation) visited Ijamido Orphanage Home to present them gifts including food and money and also give word of Advice as Encouragement to Making Life. And 20th to 21st include welcoming of Guests and feeding of all Orisas, while 22nd is cleansing and feeding of IFA, after that, Egungun was done in the afternoon while the Egbe (ancestral mate) prayer was done in the Night with a lot of prayer been render to all visitors and the country at large.

The Grand Finale which is the Festival and Launching Party where Oluwo Dr. Fasola Faniyi will also give a lecture took place on the 23th of November, 2018 at Ijamido Town Hall, Opposite A.U.D Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State, it was so fantabulous. The event which summoned the presence of many reputable kings, queen and high chief’s from various town and also many invited guest from different part of the world. The Lecture is themed: “The Role of Cultural Heritage In Sustainable Development: Multi-dimensional Indicators As Decision-Making Tool”.

KING (DR) SAHEED OSUPA  who was the Guest Artist made the day even more Enthralling and Fascinating with his melodic voice and traditional way of music.
